Join the Oregon Conservation Partnership for regional conversations around opportunities and challenges to putting conservation on the ground. Morning discussion (beginning at 10:30) will vary by location, focusing on issues of local and regional importance. Afternoon discussion is an opportunity to learn more about agency programs and priorities (wrapping up by 3:00). Meet with OWEB, ODA, and NRCS to learn more about how agency programs align and consider how local priorities fit with regional and statewide initiatives. CONNECT is an annual training developed by and for conservation professionals throughout Oregon. Held in the spring since 2009, CONNECT provides training focused on both the technical and administrative aspects of conservation implementation. Classes are developed for rural and urban conservation implementation, managerial and administrative function, and for education and outreach activities, delivering content that is specific and relevant to current conservation issues.
CONNECT is an annual training developed by and for conservation professionals, board members, and stakeholders throughout Oregon. Held in the spring since 2009, CONNECT provides training focused on policy level, technical, and administrative aspects of conservation implementation across Oregon.
While CONNECT traditionally focuses on technical staff with local conservation implementers, CONNECT 2017 will be open to all. Relevant and timely educational sessions will be developed for rural and urban conservation implementation, managerial and administrative function, conservation policy and board level organizational administration, and for education and outreach activities.
Registration information will be released in January 2017.
