CONNECT 2014 Door Prizes

As with any organization, change is inevitable. OCEAN is not immune to this phenomenon, and as such we would like to congratulate Josh Uriarte as he has moved on to be a Program Manager and Policy Advisor with the Governor’s Office of Species Conservation in Idaho. Idaho is getting a keeper with Josh, and we will surely miss his humor and incredible work ethic on the OCEAN board.

Josh was OCEAN’s 2013 Employee of the Year.  He was instrumental in leading both of the CONNECT planning efforts in 2014 & 2015, and in helping to move OCEAN forward as an organization. Josh’s energy and willingness to get work done was unparalleled, and his presence at CONNECT is, for lack of a better term, legendary. People will miss his quick wit, especially during door prize giveaways, and those who were there for his grand entrance at Kahneeta’s comedy night will never forget it (no matter how hard they try).

Josh was great to work elbow to elbow with on the board and his efforts were truly appreciated. We thank Josh for his hard work and determination to make OCEAN greater than the sum of its parts.

With Josh’s departure, OCEAN now has a vacancy for its At-Large B position on the board. If you are a District employee and interested in helping to shape OCEAN’s future with regards to making districts stronger, please contact jfaucera@conservationdistrict.org.
