Job Approval Authority
OCEAN will be coordinating the development and training for the granting of ecological sciences job approval authority (JAA) to Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS), Oregon SWCD’s, Oregon Water Sanitation & Conservation (WSC) technical specialists in accordance with the NRCS General Manual.

Oregon Certified Conservation Planner
We will also be assisting in the monitoring and tracking of Oregon Certified Conservation Planner (CP) certification and status. We are currently working with NRCS to identify a process for obtaining CP information and a centralized database to streamline aspiring planners course requirements.

Conservation Reserve & Enhancement Program
OCEAN will be coordinating regional and statewide trainings for the Oregon Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP). CREP training will be for specialists from NRCS, Farm Service Agency (FSA), Oregon SWCD’s, and Oregon Watershed Councils.
