In the spirit of cooperation and sound conservation, we work to assist and include any agency, association, organization, municipality, group or individual who supports the Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Oregon to further the principles of soil conservation and stewardship.
River Restoration Certifications & Workshops
At this time, there are no state or federally required certification standards to work in the field of river restoration. Completing a river restoration certification program is a way to show employers that a certain standard of education and training in stream ecology, hydrology, project design, management, and implementation have been completed.

ArcGIS Certification
Using geographic information system (GIS) software can be a helpful tool in conservation project design & development. GIS certifications are a great way to showcase GIS proficiencies or develop new software skills. GIS Certifications are offered at varying levels of competency and are available through a multitude of online platforms as well as most higher education organizations.
